If you are planning to send fragile items through the mail, you should consider the following tips:

Choosing the right box

• Pack heavy items, such as books and small appliances, in smaller boxes. Use the larger boxes for lighter items like pillows, comforters, clothing, seasonal items, etc. If you are packing breakables, the box should be big enough to allow a minimum of 2" of space around the items.
• Pack china individually with bubble wrap or tissue paper/newspaper, adding enough padding to keep pieces from touching each other. Large pieces of art should be packed into wooden crates.
